Dependent Variable Dependent variable is the variable that is measured. In this experiment it would be the power the RGB LED strip light from the computer, which is the current. The quantity of electrons flowing per second.
Independent Variable Independent variable is the variable that is changed throughout the test to prove the hypothesis in this case it would be the power consumed by the RGB LED strips. The colour of the RGB LED strip light would change to test the independent variable.
Experimental Controls Experimental control is the variables that stay the same throughout the entire experiment. For this specific experiment the length of the RGB LED strip light as well as the same controller would be consistent. Also the power output from the computer is constant at 12.24V.
Ensuring validity and reliability The experiment was conducted with the same control variable such as the length of the light, the same controller and the constant power output from the computer which is at 12.24V. To have the data reliable, a sophisticated multimeter which allows it to display up to two decimal points was used in the experiment to ensure maximum accuracy. The result was also recorded when the reading the stable. The experiment was conducted under the experimental controls and has the experiment performed repetitively to ensure accurate data and there for have a reliable data source.
